Detailed Description:

Dear A2 Hosting Customers,

The following notification is ONLY for customers who use our Shared,
Reseller, or Semi-Dedicated hosting services.  We have scheduled
some necessary upgrades to Apache, PHP, and cPanel.  All servers will
be running the software versions below once these upgrades are completed.

o cPanel/WHM latest RELEASE version

o Apache 2.2

o PHP 5.2.5 - Please see php.net 5.2.5 Changelog to see if any of your code needs to be updated.

We have done thorough testing of these upgrades in our development environment and we are confident that these upgrades should have minimal issues.

cPanel is now using a new system called Easy Apache 3 to build and configure the Apache server and related configuration files.  The configuration files are now dynamically generated and custom include files are used for any domain specific changes that we may have applied to your account in the past.  We have already made arrangements to transfer these custom configurations to the new system for the most common setups such as Wildcard DNS, Mongrel and fopen scenarios.  We will do our best to attempt to find any other customer-requested custom httpd.conf changes and make sure they get transferred but it is possible that we will not be able to find them all.  We are making backups of all the configuration files and if you find a customization you had previously requested has been wiped out, please file a ticket with support and we will work on adding it back in using the new Include file system.

Please DO NOT submit a support ticket about a specific custom httpd.conf
change if it is related to Wildcard DNS, RoR/Mongrel, or a PHP fopen request.

We are aware of these and will be transferring them automatically.

It is very important to note that MOST CUSTOMERS WILL NOT BE AFFECTED.  If you are just using a standard setup and have added or configured your domains through cPanel, everything should transfer automatically.

If you experience a problem after the server has been upgraded or see any "Proxy" errors, please file a ticket with the support system so we can track and respond to your issue.

Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
