Maintenance Type: Symfony PHP Framework Update
Maintenance Severity: Only affects Symfony Users
Scheduled Date: November 19th, 2007 beginning 10am US Eastern Time
Duation: 2 hours
Detailed Description:
Dear A2 Hosting Customers,
THIS MAINTENANCE ONLY AFFECTS YOU IF YOU ARE USING THE SYMFONY PHP FRAMEWORK AND HAVE A SHARED, RESELLER, or SEMI-DEDICATED HOSTING ACCOUNT.
If you do not know what this is, please contact your web developer to
make sure you will not be affected by this change.
A2 Hosting is reworking the existing Symfony configuration in order make the latest Symfony upgrades and bug fixes available to you in a timely manner.
To this end, the Symfony version in the default alias of /sf will be kept at
latest stable.
If you have an application that requires any other version of Symfony, please note that you can override the directory your symfony version uses and install your own local version of Symfony. Please see:
http://wiki.a2hosting.com/index.php/Symfony
For details.
Please note that if your application is not compatible with the latest stable
version of symfony, and you are using the default /sf alias, you may encounter significant issues with your application.
We highly suggest you use your own local installed copy of Symfony instead of the global /sf alias if you are using Symfony in a production site
and require version stability. Please see the Wiki page above on how to
accomplish this.
Thank you,
